African Nations Basketball

The Egyptian national basketball team has left the African Nations Cup 2021 after losing 70-62 to Angola in the round of 16 matches of the tournament hosted by Rwanda until September 5, with the participation of 16 teams.

Thus, Angola qualified for the quarter-finals, to set a date with Senegal, who qualified earlier at the expense of Cameroon after defeating them 98-65.

The Egyptian team, led by coach Ahmed Marei, finished second in Group B with 4 points, after winning a match and losing two matches, to qualify to face Angola, the third in Group A.
