The draw for the first stage of the African qualifiers for the Basketball World Cup resulted in the Egyptian national team falling into a fiery group with 3 strong teams.
The Pharaohs came in Group D, along with Senegal, Kenya, and the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
The raffle was held a few moments ago and resulted in the following:
- Group A: Cape Verde - Mali - Uganda - Nigeria.
- Group B: Tunisia - South Sudan - Cameroon - Rwanda.
- Group C: Cote d'Ivoire - Guinea - Central Africa - Angola.
- Group D: Egypt - Senegal - Democratic Republic of the Congo - Kenya.
The first phase of the continental qualifying for the World Cup begins in November.
