Basketball World Cup Qualifiers

The Asian Qualifiers Draw for the 2023 Basketball World Cup was held in Switzerland, and the Lebanese team was placed in Group C to Jordan, Indonesia, and Saudi Arabia, with the sixteen teams playing their home and away matches.

The top three from the groups qualify for the second round, and each of them carries his points with him. The teams are again divided into two groups so that the first includes three qualifiers from (Eastern) including Japan, and three qualifiers from (Western), and the second combines three qualifiers from (Eastern) including the Philippines. And three are married (from the West).

The teams play six home and away matches with their counterparts who did not play against them in the first round in three windows that will take place from 22 to 30 August 2022, from 7 to 15 November 2022, and from 20 to 28 February 203.

As Japan and the Philippines are the host countries (direct qualification), the other teams compete for six tickets, reduced to five in the event that Indonesia gets one of the top eight places in the Asian Cup postponed to July next year, which will be held in Jakarta.
